In addition to Mohs surgery, we offer Comprehensive Skin Cancer & Dermatologic Care at AMSD, including skin cancer screenings, biopsies, non-Mohs excisions, curettage, and topical therapy for cancers that may not need Mohs surgery. These services are provided by Shelby Coplen, PA-C, Taylor Foxworthy, PA-C, and Tabitha Bayne, PA-C: three highly-trained and experienced Physician Assistants who previously practiced together and then joined our team in 2024-26. Shelby, Taylor, and Tabitha are also experts in the treatment of rashes, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne. Shelby is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. Taylor works on Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. Tabitha cares for patients on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. A young lady at the entrance greeted me in such a friendly manner that the expression on her face, her posture, and her words caught my attention. The instructions are also striking: "you may bathe", "please try to stop smoking", "we would prefer", "please perform a few days", "please be patient as you heal." And finally, "We wish you a speedy recovery." These instructions come from doctors and nurses who are authorities in dermatology. Yet, they are delightfully modest.
I wish to thank the staff for being so nice, kind, and patient with me. All were just great!
I feel that my surgery experience was much more pleasant than I had expected because of your expertise along with your gentle, caring nature. You can't know how much that unexpected phone call meant to me. Comments from family and friends have been that they cannot believe that it has been only a week since the surgery when they saw my forehead. I think they consider you a magician, too!!
