In addition to Mohs surgery, we offer Comprehensive Skin Cancer & Dermatologic Care at AMSD, including skin cancer screenings, biopsies, non-Mohs excisions, curettage, and topical therapy for cancers that may not need Mohs surgery. These services are provided by Shelby Coplen, PA-C, Taylor Foxworthy, PA-C, and Tabitha Bayne, PA-C: three highly-trained and experienced Physician Assistants who previously practiced together and then joined our team in 2024-26. Shelby, Taylor, and Tabitha are also experts in the treatment of rashes, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne. Shelby is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. Taylor works on Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. Tabitha cares for patients on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how happy I am concerning the care you gave me. I tend to be quite critical of everything from medical service to cereal box design. I even rate things on the traditional A to F scale. I have never rated anything an A plus but Mohs broke through!
My contact with your office with questions about the procedure was greeted with full explanations and a courteous spirit. Warmth without professionalism leaves one uncertain; professionalism without warmth leaves one uncomfortable. Gladly, you and your staff combined both warmth and professionalism.
A young lady at the entrance greeted me in such a friendly manner that the expression on her face, her posture, and her words caught my attention. The instructions are also striking: "you may bathe", "please try to stop smoking", "we would prefer", "please perform a few days", "please be patient as you heal." And finally, "We wish you a speedy recovery." These instructions come from doctors and nurses who are authorities in dermatology. Yet, they are delightfully modest.
You are truly exceptional. As for your staff, I am most appreciative of their care also. They welcomed me, treated me splendidly and kept me in an excellent state of mind. I had no questions that they couldn't answer and their conduct built confidence in me. Kudos to your entire organization.
